Ethiopia – Karmachi Geisha

RM48.00

In Bench Sheko, in southwest Ethiopia, the Karmachi farm sits at 1,800 to 1,980 meters, close to the Gori Gesha forest where the Gesha variety is associated with its origin. The seeds come from that wild forest, and the farm has grown them with care ever since.

Here the cherries are picked by hand when fully ripe and sorted again after harvest. They ferment whole in sealed vessels before drying slowly on raised African beds, a patient process that lets the fruit shape the cup. It’s the kind of coffee that tells you exactly how much care went into it.
